WARNING
WARNING! - I too would leave a negaiitve rating if I could. I called them to enquire about a spare part and got charged over £4.40 for using a premium telephone number that was provided to me on one of their own brochures. There wasn't even a mention that the number was a premium number on the brochure or a warning when I was connected on the call. They didn't even have the spare part available anymore so didn't achive anything for my £4.40
+ call. Be warned!

Very good customer service.
I ordered two lint removers from them but one of them was faulty and wouldn’t charge up. Having read some of the negative reviews, I was concerned, but emailed customer services and explained the situation. Unfortunately, the item was sold out so I couldn’t get a replacement, but within days my money was refunded. i was impressed with the speed and efficiency.

One star is far too generous but I…
One star is far too generous but I can't give them 0. Item ordered via Amazon on 4th January with a delivery date of 7-9th January. 11th And nothing delivered, and nothing showing with yodel. Contacted yodel who said they hadn't received the item. Contacted Clifford James and it took them several emails and all week to tell me what I already knew, it hadn't left the warehouse. It was ordered again with dispatch promised that day and delivery 2/4 days. Still nothing showing on yodel so more emails to be told it's 3/5 working days - although not sure why as yodel deliver at the weekend and my original delivery date was Saturday. They couldn't answer simple questions and I just kept getting fobbed off. It did arrive eventually but after the what felt like rude and certainly incompetent customer service I won't be touching this company again even if I can't get what I want elsewhere. Stay away from them.

After returning items that were wrongly sized..
After returning items that were wrongly sized...I rang to explain...bad move as the phone call cost me dearly owing to the premium phone call rate...
I then had to E-Mail Clifford James as they had failed to refund me for the correct amount..
This was rectified....
However the post/packaging was not refunded even though the fault was on Clifford James side... as goods received were wrongly sized...
After several E-mails requesting my postage refund...my E-mails are being totally ignored...
I will never Clifford James ever again...extreme poor customer services...extreme poor company in general...
Excellent Customer Service
This Company has bad reviews here but hopefully they are getting their act together as I had very good customer service from them. I didn't use their costly 'phone line, but got prompt response via email. Auto reply promised within 3 days: but person responded within 3 hours. Offered a replacement component if I was happy to try; was sent the next day and arrived the day after, and cured the problem.

Shoddy Coffee table received very late
Coffee table received very late. Completely shoddy the veneer on top basically rubbed off. I’m now left with a coffee table with a patch where the veneer has come off down to the chipboard. It’s apparently guaranteed for 12 months but they have no replacements. I’m now stuck with this shoddy coffee table and 2 other matching pieces but the coffee tables not fit for purpose. I complained and was offered a 10% refund, wow a whole £6.50!. Otherwise I could return it for a full refund which they knew fine well I wouldn’t do as it would mean dismantling the whole table, packaging it up (I have no packing for a coffee table) and paying god knows how much for the return. Shoddy items, steer clear. If 2 person reads this and doesn’t buy from them job done.

One star is to much
One star is to much. just contacted Clifford James regarding a Hedge Trimmer I purchased via the Mail Shop. After contacting the mail shop on 5 separate occasions I finally received contact details for Clifford James. I explained that whilst using the trimmer the motor started to smoke and cut out. its been used about 6 times just to trim the hedge. Apparently I'm a week out side the guarantee so hard luck not interested. I guess the trimmer wasn't meant to be used for the job it was purchased for.

Sending Mail to the deceased
Even though I have contacted them three times now (twice via telephone and once failed attempt via their website- email was blocked at destination error 550) they will not remove my late father from their mailing list. Even though this is distressing and now harassing they will not!
Disgusting company with no morals.

Lost in the post ??
I am a further victim of Amazon ripoff. Purchased chopping boards which were unsuitable as too hard and too small. Return at my expense in the original packaging. Nothing heard for weeks but now it is claimed they can’t trace the boards. It is implied they must be lost in post. I haven’t got the proof of purchase which is a tiny piece of paper. Feel completely ripped off by this policy. Will never buy again from this company. Think it should be made far more clear if customer has to pay return in these circumstances.
ILLEGAL use of 0871 numbers for post-sales calls!
I've also had very bad experience with very poor customer service, thankfully handled well by Amazon, but I am shocked at the number of reviewers who have been scammed for telephone call charges by this business. Only standard landline rate numbers (starting 01, 02 or 03) or freephone (0800 and 0808) numbers are now allowed for after-sales enquiries. It is ILLEGAL to use an 0871 number for after-sales customer services (returns, refunds etc). If you have had to call Clifford James and have been charged for their 0871 number contact your local CONSUMER ADVICE centre. They should be able to help you recover those costs.

garden vacuum for ECO Grass
Placed an order for a garden vacuum, arrived two days earlier then expected.
Having read most of the feedback comments i thought oh dear! but fear not the item was well packed in very strong box, only four screws needed to assemble, The machine was an absolute bliss absolutely ideal for our ECO GRASS even though a little wet the machine managed very well.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"!
